Ok, so what the heck is Jack-of-all-trades? It is a term used to call a person who is competent with many skills but never good at those. I think you may call me Jack-of-all-trades since I know that I can do so many things like drawing, singing, writing a poem, swimming, martial art, well… you name it but I never master none of them. Yeah, I can draw well but I can’t draw like those people you see in the museum or an anime artist. You think Jack-of-all-trades is cool? No, it’s not! Sure, I can fit in in any kind of situation but I never specialized in one of them. It may be kind of ego, image if an swimmer got jealous of some swimmer who is better than him? Then what will happen if a multi-talent person got to see different kind of people who is better than that fella?
I’m thinking of specializing in some kind of area, but don’t know what is it. Well, maybe I will be focusing on database administrator since that is the job that I’m aiming in the future but that means I’ll have to reduce time taken by my other hobbies!
It’s such a pain if you have so many interests… The funny thing is, my friend tried to explain things in game term.
Let’s say you’re a character in a game with strength of 5, agility of 5, and stamina of 5. Balanced? Yeah… But what if you get a fight with a character with agility of 2, stamina of 2 and strength of 9? you will surely lose coz not enough power to overcome and so does the other attribute. You’ll always be in the middle of nowhere.. The life of Jack-of-all-trades are sad I tell you.
hahaha…the analogy is quite funny

I guess I will what I am, because my body is the embodiment of Christ, so I will never curse my own self

Like I’ve said, it’s actually a happy life because there’s so much things you can do easily. If you’re not lazy, that is.

Ahaha… as someone who seems to be mediocre at, um, everything, I feel somewhat sad remembering this. It’s so hard to decide what I actually should do, considering the fact that there are plenty of things I want and can do.
I have no advices, since I’m pretty much stuck in a similar situation and with the third year of high school coming up I should decide sooooon >__>

I think it’s pretty good thing to be jack-of-all-trades, do u know why? because we as human, we deal with VARIOUS people, not with one person who is EXPERT.
So ordinary should be fine for us. No need to be tat sad… anyway, “King-of-all-trades” sounds even better. Haha

I guess I myself am a Jack of All Trades also, so at least you’ve got another Jack of All Trades here hehe.
But my scope seems lesser than you do.
Well, personally, I love hybrid status, even though in online games that isn’t really good (my Crusader in RO is also a hybrid one). But in real life I guess that kind of stuff makes us know a lot of things at once.
In my opinion, specialization tends to lead to a one-focused work, such as a designer or accountant. But in leadership, I guess a wide area of knowledge is needed to maintain the stability in the group.
Anyway, having a wide area of interest is indeed quite fun.
